Curating Visability - Recruiting For Fellowships
Do you love museums and want to begin to pursue a curatorial career?
Do you define yourself as D/deaf, disabled or neurodivergent?
Barnsley Museums are proud to announce that by working with Screen South through its pioneering Accentuate Programme, we are now recruiting Fellows for Curating Visibility, funded by Arts Council England.
You would become partof the Barnsley Museums team from 15 months from February 2025 to April 2026. Fellows will receive:
- A salary of £23,933 per annum based on 35 hours per week
- Access to an appropriate and comprehensive package to support access and participation.
- Flexible working options.
- Opportunities to develop your knowledge, understanding and skills within innovative curatorial practice, particularly with digital interpretation.
- The chance to build connections with 6 partner museums across England taking part in the programme.
- Build a network with 5 other Curating Visibility Fellows.
- The opportunity to make sure Deaf, disabled and neurodivergent people’s experiences are represented in museums through curating your own interventions, events or displays, using the latest digital technology to engage visitors.
The other museums involved in the final three Fellowships are:
Charleston (Firle/Lewes, East Sussex)
London Museum (London)
