February Half Term Fun at Barnsley Museums

It’s set to be a fabulous February half-term at Barnsley Museums with an action-packed week of free family fun.

From Saturday, 10 February, until Sunday, 18 February, children will be able to get crafty and active across the museum's five attractions.

Younger visitors can make wildlife creatures at Cannon Hall Museum from natural materials found in the parkland. The Town Centre will be the perfect place to visit as there will be an art masterclass in the Cooper Gallery, where budding artists can create a maritime masterpiece. Over the road in Experience Barnsley Museum, children can get creative by designing a fantastical map inspired by The Magic of Middle-earth exhibition in the Gallery. Families with PMLD, autism or who are neurodiverse can take part in the multisensory SENsational workshop in the museum.

Head on over to Elsecar to make a Marvellous machine or create a stunning piece of art in Worsbrough Mill Country Park with artist James Brunt. Sensory trails at Worsbrough Mill and Cannon Hall will be available throughout the week during opening hours, and family visitors can enjoy free, fun, hands-on activities and exhibits in the galleries.
