Photography with Sam Batley
Sam ran a series of photography workshops with the young people in July and August 2023, with a follow-up session in October 2023. Sam introduced around 7 young people to his own medium of film photography. The young people used both disposable cameras and Instax to represent their surroundings and each other, getting the chance to explore the world of film photography in a digital age.

Sam Batley is a multi-disciplinary artist, creative producer and writer. Throughout his artwork, photography and writing, he reflects on identity and self. He takes inspiration from life’s dualities - from isolation and loss of purpose to the joy and interconnectedness of community.
