Are you passionate about writing, poetry, or storytelling? Do you feel a deep connection to the stories and spirit of our beloved community, Elsecar? If so, we invite you to embark on a creative journey with us at the "Spirit of Elsecar" workshop!

What to Expect:

• Inspiring Exploration: Immerse yourself in the captivating history and vibrant present of Elsecar through engaging presentations, interactive discussions, and observation exercises led by Elisa.

• Creative Expression: Unleash your imagination and let your pen flow as you craft poetry, short stories, and reflective pieces inspired by the sights, sounds, and stories of Elsecar.

• Community Connection: Connect with fellow writers, share your work in a supportive environment, and gain valuable insights into Elsecar's past and present through the lens of creative expression.

Elsecar Townscape: But that's not all! Your works created during the workshop will be used to inspire text pieces projected across the buildings of Elsecar Heritage Centre that will help reflect the ‘Spirit of Elsecar’. This will form part of a permanent digital 'Townscape' of Elsecar, showcased on the Barnsley Museums website.
